We are officially in my favorite time of the year! Christmas

This year is obviously different with all the regulations put into place. We won’t have our normal holiday gatherings, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t have fun and create new memories.

I have been working on a list of ideas for our family, so I thought it might be a good idea to share with all of you. Ever since our son was born, Christmas became magical again. Just because everything is a bit more difficult this year, I don’t want to lose that magic.

We are looking forward to all of these activities. To be fair I have already completed some decorating, so I can officially check those off my list. All of these are COVID compliant.

Some tips to help accomplish these ideas are:

  • Light Shows: Check your local paper or Facebook for light shows. Some towns are putting together maps of homes that decorate, so you can enjoy all the lights from the safety of your car. Plug in that curated Christmas Music list and drive around enjoying the views.
  • Gingerbread House: Here is a great starter kit. I personally just didn’t feel like making the gingerbread walls, so this was just quick and easy for me.
  • Advent Calendar: We grabbed this for our son this year.
  • Elf: Just head over to Pinterest – there are thousands of ideas. Did you know there is an official Elf on the shelf page?!?!
  • Movie Night: Check out my post here. I put together a great list of movies along with their times and channels.

I hope this helps bring cheer and joy into your home this year.
